Suraksha - Help In Deed
Suraksha establishes the first contact with the deceased personal's wives, providing Moral support as well as immediate financial assistance to help her manage the trauma.
Following is ensured under the Suraksha:
- Regular contact is maintained and all the necessary organizational assistance is provided to help rehabilitate her. The wives deceased personnel are encouraged to become Self-reliant, economically, either through suitable employment or self-employment, towards which CGWWA provides all the feasible support and guidance, free of cost.
- CGWWA provides financial aid by way of Yearly Education Grant to the school going children of all the deceased personnel.
The Suraksha (Widow cell) team organized interaction of Suraksha ladies with President Tatrakshika and Vice President Tatrakshika on 26th Mar 2025.
Team Suraksha organized a get together for widows of CG veterans and distributed Diwali gifts as a part of Diwali celebration on 25th Oct 24.
Team Suraksha organized a Widow Cell meeting for all widow ladies (serving &Civilians) on 22nd Oct 24 at CGRHQ (E) premises.
A cheque of Rs. 1500/- (Rupees one thousand five hundred only) was handed over to Mrs. Soma Ganguly, wife of Late S Ganguly, Adh for the education of her children by President Tatrishika(NE) Mrs Jaishree Pande at the welfare centre Maniktala, Kolkata.

On 18th Oct 24, Suraksha Activity was conducted to spread care, warmth and happiness to the ladies covered under Suraksha.
