Suruchi - Enhancing Skills to Keep Up with Times
The aim of Suruchi (Welfare) is to bring about financial independence and confidence in ladies by teaching them various skills. Welfare being the focal point for CGWWA, various steps have been taken to bring out as well as inculcate various skills in the ladies. Regular classes and demonstrations such as painting, tailoring, embroidery, beautician, etc. are conducted at CGWWA welfare centres|

Team Suruchi (Welfare) organized a 05 days workshop from 03rd - 07th Feb 2025 on “Block Printing” 08 ladies along with Vice President Tatrakshika participated in the workshop.
Suruchi (welfare) team organized a demonstration on the topic “Beat the heat with a cool treat” by Mrs Sunita Bohra, Mrs Pawana Kapoor, Mrs Reshma Raghunath, Mrs Pranali Prashant Getme and Mrs Mousumi Das on 15th Apr 25. The age-old traditional recipes such as alkaline water preparation, Kerala Rice Kanji, refreshing regional summer drinks, Pahadi Raita and handmade Bengal fan were demonstrated.
Welfare committee organized a lecture on Harmony in Relationship delivered by Sister Sarmistha on 24th Jan 25. This session focused on fostering understanding mutual respect and emotional wellbeing in personal and social relationship. Sister shared valuable guidance on effective communication, trust building and conflict resolutions.
Women’s day celebration organised towards international Women’s Day on 12th Mar 25 at CGWWA Centre CGDHQ-9.
International Women's Day is celebrated on 8th of March, every year, commemorating women's fight for equality and liberation along with the women's rights movement for the social work. CGWWA Kamorta celebrated International Women’s Day on 13th Mar 25.
A welfare activity was conducted at 1100 hrs on 28th Jan 25.
A “lecture on Mental Health and Stress Management” was conducted on 5th Feb 25.
Suruchi (Welfare) conducted a demonstration on wheat Bread and Bun” at family welfare centre on 27th Feb 25.
CGWWA members actively participated in Holi celebrations and also participated in lunch alongwith family members.
“Appreciation/thanks giving meeting” with all officer’s ladies organised on 21st Mar 25.
Lecture and Demonstration on Nail Art organised on 24th Jan 25.
A committee meeting organized on 03rd Feb 25 to discuss the upcoming CGWWA activities to be conducted as part of Tatrakshika day celebration.
On 13th Jan 25 as part of a welfare initiative focused on mental and emotional well-being, Tatrakshika organized sessions on heart fullness meditation for its members. The sessions aimed to promote inner peace, relaxation, and overall heart–mind harmony.
On 16th Feb 25 as part of the welfare activities for February 2025 organized an engaging paper craft demonstration.
A counseling session on managing stress during examinations was conducted by Sh. P.K. Mohapatra, I/C CBSE, KV No. 6. The session was organized for students of classes VIII to XII, offering valuable tips and techniques to cope with exam-related pressure.
As part of the monthly welfare activities, a Lippan art demonstration was organized by the President, Tatrakshika (Bhubaneswar). The session highlighted the traditional art form of Kutch, offering members a chance to explore their creativity.
CGWWA committee meeting was held on February 22, 2025 at Officers mess, Paradip, upon various upcoming activities.
Republic Day celebrated on 26th Jan 25.
Troops Get together was organized with all CGWWA members and families on 31st Jan 25.
Soft toy making activity held on 23rd Jan 25. Ladies learned to make soft toy with available materials at home. They participated enthusiastically and learned intricate techniques to make soft toys.
As a part of welfare activity, a demonstration on painting on spectacles cover by Mrs. Sunita Waghmare was organised on 30th Jan 25.
Fire Fighting Demonstration as a part of welfare activity, a practical demonstration on fire-fighting and safe handling of various types of fire extinguishers was conducted for ladies on 24th Jan 2025.
Fireless Cooking Competition held on fireless cooking at CGWWA community Hall, CGDHQ-15 on 15th Feb 25.
A healthy diet demonstration was conducted by Suruchi Team on 02 Mar 25. Benefits of healthy and balanced diet were discussed during the lecture
Flag hoisting by CGWWA members was held on 26th Jan 25.

The WelfareTeam organized a fridgemagnet-making workshop on 24th Feb 25.


A live demonstration on preparing kathiyavadi dish shown by master chef of Darshan Hotel, Rajula for all Tatrakshikas on 19th Feb 25.


Demo on Italian Cuisine (Pasta) conducted on 12th Feb 25 for all CGWWA members showing how to prepare delicious and healthy pasta at home.


Team Suruchi (West) conducted Pickle competition and demonstration on Chilli pickle with Lohri celebration on 13th January 2025.
A demonstration of Kalaripayattu martial arts of self-defense by Suruchi CGWWA Mumbai was conducted on 4th February 2025.
As part of CGWWA Welfare activity, flower with satin ribbon demonstration was conducted on 27thJan 25.
On 09 Jan 25, as part of the Welfare Activity, a demonstration by MrsKamoysree Ghosh on importance of morning drinks for balancing blood sugar, boosting metabolism and aiding weight loss.
On 03 Feb 25 Welfare Team Kochi conducted a demonstration on resin art.
On25thMar 25,the Welfare Team organized a Cake-Making demonstration in Pressure Cooker or pan by Mrs. Manisha Shinde. During the session, ladies learned 3 different varieties of sponge cakes with tips and tricks along with Icing techniques.
On 2ndJan25 Suruchi (Welfare) committee organized a “Thread and Embroidery Work Demonstration for Sarees and Dupatta Borders”. The event aimed to introduce participants to the art of embroidery, showcasing various techniques materials and designs.
Suruchi (Welfare) Committee organized a Fabric painting workshop at Family Welfare Center (Umang) on 4thFeb 25.
